Jeff and I went and played putt putt...it was great. i was way in the lead but then i got 5 on one hole....he ended up winning my 1!!!!!

his team getting ready to hop in the rink...they were watching a shoot out from a tied game before them. here is a funny story that i hope makes sense. jeff ran and got me tonight while the guys were all getting ready for the game in the stinky locker room and said "the guys want a group picture, come take one because i know you have your camera" so i go into the locker room (all guys dressed, just smelly) and most of them are looking at me like i'm crazy. and i was thinking "get together for this picture" they were all just sitting independently on the benches staring at me. then one guy goes "nooooo...group PITCHER, not PICTURE" of beer.....a slight miscommunication, but we all got a good laugh out of it. half the guys thought it was pitcher, and half thought picture. ohhh well :)

hockey star

so since i haven't blogged in forever, i thought i would post a couple of pictures. jeff recently started playing (wooo hoooo!!) and tonight was his second game. he scored a goal and they won 11-3 (sad for the other team). its an adult roller hockey league...it's pretty fun to watch. he is number 12 in the pictures. hope everyone is doing well and i can't wait to see yall at the reunion!!!

so we had the best visit ever in minnesota. we celebrated rob's birthday, heidi and eric's engagement, and finley!!! eric, taylor and jeff went to a minnesota wild hockey game and had a great time. we all learned how good of a negotiator taylor was :) thursday night we got snowed in, otherwise us ladies were going to go see fidler on the roof. i'm sad we missed out but i'd much rather be watching the snow outside of the window than being stuck in it. finley officially began to laugh on february 23rd (fyi stacy so you can add to your finley calender). she is the silliest little girl and i think i'm almost obsessed. everything about her is tiny except her cheeks....it makes her smile so much cuter! jeff fell in love, and spent most of his free time laying on the couch with fin on his chest sleeping. after we left minnesota, he said he immediately missed cuddling with her....i guess i'm not as cute and little :) here are a couple pics so you can fall in love with her as much as we did :)

MY Valentine's Gift :)

here is old charlie! she loves sleeping on our down comforter. she paces around it until it's all balled up like a big bed then she plops right in the middle. she's so cute. and yes, she has a boy name. her full name is charlie murphy :)

he's cute, he is black and white. he's about 7 months old and he's crazy and cuddly. he just got declawed yesterday so he's more mellow than normal so i snapped a couple pictures. he looks big, but he's really half the size of charlie (our other cat). this new guy likes to box, so we named him rocky (or bob did for that matter). here are some pictures of both the kits!

i cut my hair!

well, i did something a little crazy. i cut 10 inches of my hair off.....i'm not sure if i like it yet, i've got to get used to it. my family has been asking for a pic so heres one :)

jeff and i have been trying to figure out what pictures to put around our house....we picked this one. i like it a lot, and i think jeff likes it even more. it's a picture taken right after katrina. the second pic is from katrina too...but we decided we liked the first one better. who knows....maybe we'll end up with both somewhere :)

i had a really crappy day. not gonna go into it, but too many awful outcomes with moms and babies at work this week.  pray that i'll lift my chin up and press on to continue to so the job that i love so much.

FINLEY VALENTINE RITCHIE!!!!

i am so excited to be an auntie, and jeff is so excited to be an unclie :) it's funny....right after i wrote my last blog i called stacy to check our blog and make sure it posted since i was traveling....she told me "i'm starting to see spots and floaters...." then all the events started unraveling to bring the most beautiful little mix of stacy and taylor into this world. i'll let her tell you the story :) i must say i'm so sad that i couldn't be there right away, but jeff and i are working on getting there as soon as we can. i put finley as the background on my computer so i can see her frequently! 

jeff pointed out to me that her initials are F V R ....fever. she's gonna cause a ruckus in this world, and i can't wait to be a part of it :) 

anywho, we're so excited if you can't tell.

once again on the road...

So I guess riding in a car is the only time I have to update the blog. We are in good old mississippi on our way to mobile, alabama! I will say that I have never seen more hitchhikers or abandon cars on the side of the road than I have through louisiana and mississippi. It is so nice seeing big trees again, they line the highways so beautifully. I feel like austin just has tiny trees.

Jeff has been busy with work, getting back in the groove after the busy holidays. He has definitely taken advantage of all his golf stuff for christmas...he and bob went golfing on christmas eve the weather was so nice. He went again yesterday because it was in the 70's and he couldn't resist. After playing 18 holes he called me and said he was going to play disc/frisbee golf....the weather was too nice to not be outside. NOT FOR ME!!! I went to the gym the other day and worked with a trainer, he killed me. Two days later I can barely walk! Sitting down to pee is a task from all the squats and hip abducters and adducters. OUCH. So while jeff enjoyed the weather I waddled around my house trying to stand up straight. I do suggest disc golf though, it's a blast.

I am now working days for those of you that don't know, which has made my life a little more normal. I work three days a week 12 hour shifts. Long days, but I love the babies I work with so its all good:) Our next couple months are BUSY. We are in alabama this weekend, dallas in a couple weekends, bahamas after that for a trip jeff one with primerica (whoohoo), then back to dallas for a wedding, then.....(Drum roll please)...my favorite trip to minnesota to meet baby ritchie!!!! We cannot wait to be an auntie and unclie. And yes, I am going to make baby call jeff unclie, and bob papoo or bobfart (like popart).

Ok, we are stopping to take a pee break...wish me luck on the squat;)
